FCC Journals

Our faculty and students are intellectually engaged, curious and opinionated scholars, who edit, publish and contribute to a wide variety of hard copy and online journals. Following is a sampling of the journals FCC produces on English Literature, Economics and more.

Forman Journal of Social Sciences (FJSS)

The Forman Journal of Social Sciences (FJSS) will be owned and published by Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) a registered entity, after requisite approval from the governing body. FCCU is an independent liberal arts university located in Lahore, Pakistan, and founded in 1864. As an official journal of FCCU, the Forman Journal of Social Sciences will publish multi-disciplinary scholarly work related to the social sciences. This will be a double-blind peer-reviewed and open-access journal, strictly following COPE’s (Committee on Publication Ethics) policies. The following nature of contributions will be solicited:

– Articles

– Review Articles

– Book Reviews

FJSS will be bi-annual (June and December), with a minimum of six articles per issue. No fee will be required from submitting authors for submission or publication.

Journal of English Literary and Linguistic Studies (JELLS)

The Journal of English Literary and Linguistic Studies (JELLS) is the first ever research journal of the English Department of Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), duly published in collaboration with the English Language Teaching Reforms (ELTR) wing of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The objective of JELLS is to provide a research forum for Pakistani teachers teaching English language and literature in Pakistan and abroad and help develop a culture of research in the field of English studies in our homeland. The journal includes a wide spectrum of topics and accommodates the multiplicity of issues related to linguistics, language, literature and pedagogy.

Forman Journal of Economic Studies

The Forman Journal of Economic Studies, published annually by the Department of Economics since 2005, has been upgraded by the HEC and placed in category “Y”. The FJES editorial staff comprises Mr Ghulam Shabir (Managing Editor), Dr M Aslam Chaudhry (Editor) and Dr Tanvir Ahmed and Dr M Akbar (Associate Editors). As A “Y” track journal, the FJES is acceptable for the Tenure Track System, BPS appointments, HEC-approved Supervisor and Publication of research of PhD. Centre for Public Policy and Governance (CPPG) News Quarterly:

The Centre for Public Policy and Governance (CPPG) is very pleased to launch its Research and News Quarterly. The CPPG plans to report its activities and share ideas on shaping research, teaching and training programs through regular publication of the Quarterly. We urge our readers to have a critical look at the form and content of the Quarterly. The first issue is before you, any comments to improve the quality and content of the Quarterly will be deeply appreciated. The CPPG acknowledges the professional assistance of Omer Jilani and Gwendolyn Kulick in design- ing the Quarterly.
