Keeping in view the tradition of previous years Ewing Memorial Library participated in this year’s 28th Lahore International Book Fair 2014 held at the Expo Center, Johar Town, Lahore from Feb 26 to March 02, 2014 by organizing trips to the Book Fair including the pick and drop facility. For this purpose four trips on February 26th and February 28th with two trips on each day at flexible timings were organized to facilitate the FCC community.
A great mix of faculty, staff and students participated in this activity enthusiastically. Faculty members were also involved in the selection of books in their relevant subject areas and library staff was there for facilitating them in the selection of books. The students and faculty showed great delight at such an opportunity for participating in an educational activity.
Lahore International Book Fair is one of major the largest international book fair which is organized every year in Lahore, Pakistan. The exhibition is arranged for five days and people from different walks of life visited the exhibition. It is considered one of biggest educational and cultural event of city. Lahore became the centre for publications and over 80 percent books are being printed and published in Lahore. Country’s renowned Book sellers (Allied Book Company, Multi-Line, Paramount Publishing, Oxford University Press etc.) displayed their stalls at the 28th Lahore International Book Fair.
